SSSS

The war on terror in close-up: Secondary Security Screening Selection.

Checking in with SAS to the Seattle-Copenhagen flight. I notice the letters “SSSS”, repeated three times on my boarding pass, wondering what that means. At boarding-pass check, the lady uses a marker pen to emphasize them. At security, my hand luggage is unpacked, thoroughly inspected, and I am searched. (No rubber gloves were necessary, though.) I get two nice stamps for the inconvenience.

My guess for the reason of the selection would be the one-way ticked purchased just two days before.

As a kid, I have lived in a police state for 10 years, but I had to visit the Land of the Free to truly experience it.
